>> December 2011 - Best wishes for a safe and fun-filled Christmas Another Christmas and New Year is nearly upon us. Twelve months, a year, seems to pass one might say even more quickly than ever before, however the best advisors assure us that time is still occuring at surprisingly the same rate. What I do know is I/we are all a year older. I personally feel a closer sense of calm occuring with the ageing process and with that, the ability to reflect on what I believe to be the most important things in my life - family, friends, health and contentment. >> September 2011- New Repairs Policy Notice As you may already be aware, it is now a requirement of the Australian Consumer Law that we provide you with a Repair Policy Notice, prior to accepting any goods for repair. The notice clearly states the following, in accordance with the new requirements of the Australian Consumer Law: 1. The repair process may result in the loss of part or all user generated data. Please ensure you have a usable copy of any data saved on your goods. 2. Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods. >> October 2010 - Net Digital City To Bay Busters at the annual City to Bay Fun run This year's City to Bay Fun Run was a huge sucess for both the organizers and the Net Digital City to Bay Busters. There were a record number of entrants with around 31000 participants - the Bay Busters making up over 30 in total. Chris Clark ran the gruelling 12km journey in 48:33 winning the trophy for the Fastest Runner in our group. Chris' time was a fantastic achievement and set a new record on our trophy. It has been reported that he came 282nd out of the 31000 entrants, which is amazing! Well done Chris. Trevor (Big Trev) Garnaut took out the honours for our Fastest Walker. Congratulations Trev - your commitment to your training schedule proved to be a winner. Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped make the day a special one for the respective charities and ourselves included. >>June 2010 - Samsung and Texecom win again at the 2010 PSI Premier Awards Congratulations to our award winning manufacturers Samsung and Texecom, who recently won awards at the 2010 PSI Premier Awards. Samsung were presented with the "2010 CCTV Manufacturer of the Year" award, making Samsung winners of this category for two years running. Texecom were awarded the "2010 Intruder Alarm Manufacturer of the Year" award and also the "2010 Intruder Alarm Product of the Year" for their Premier range of panels. Texecom also won both of these categories in 2009. >>May 2010 - FSH MEM lock wins on Episode 16 (19th May) on "The New Inventors" show Congratulations to FSH who presented their revolutionary new MEM lock on the New Inventors show and were judged the best invention on the night by the show's panel. As Trevor Mackle of FSH explained on the show, the FSH MEM lock is the first lock in the world that combines both electromagnetic and mechanical components. As a result, the MEM lock is 75% smaller and just 10% of the weight of a traditional electromagnetic lock. The MEM lock also has 20% stronger holding power than a traditional lock and consumes just half the power, a considerable improvement in energy efficiency. FSH MEM locks achieve their performance through a design which uses a rounded tongue built into the armature and a circular latch built into the magnet. When the magnet and the armature are brought together, the tongue and latch form an additional mechanical seal that supports the holding force of the magnet without comprimising its fail safety rating.
